The Essex Chargers 7/8 Tackle program consists of two teams - Blue (Varsity) and Gold (JV). 

The Blue team is more competitive while the Gold team is for players that are still developing. Players are evaluated at the beginning of each season and placed on one of these teams. Players can also move to either team based on their ability over the course of the season.

All Essex Chargers coaches are USA Football certified and have been educated in the Heads Up football program. Our coaches stress teaching the fundamentals with minimal contact during practice time. We care a lot about each and every player and strive to make ALL players part of the Charger family regardless of ability.
