The Essex Chargers Flag program consists of a 1st/2nd and 3rd/4th grade teams. 

The Flag level is an instructional, non-competitive, non-padded, non-contact program which teaches players basic football fundamentals such as proper stances for the positions, line and backfield blocking, running offensive plays, and some passing.  Players will not be in football equipment (helmets, shoulder pads, and leg pads).  The Flag program is about learning the game and having fun.

All Essex Chargers coaches are USA Football certified and have been educated in the Heads Up football program. Our coaches stress teaching the fundamentals. We care a lot about each and every player and strive to make ALL players part of the Charger family regardless of ability.
